Ryan Thorburn

Staff Sergeant Ryan Thorburn is an experienced member of the Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS), with more than 22 years of law enforcement experience. He currently serves as the Team Commander for the Medicine Hat division of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT).

Throughout his career, Staff Sgt. Thorburn has held various investigative positions, including roles in the Organized Crime Unit/ALERT, as well as more than five years in the Criminal Investigation Section. He has also taken on various roles within the operational command structure of numerous investigations, particularly those involving organized crime groups and homicide cases.
